Alaska Airlines will begin offering a daily round-trip flight to Reno on Nov. 5, bringing the airport’s number of nonstop destinations to 19. Horizon Air, Alaska’s sister carrier, will operate the Reno flight. It is the second new route Alaska Airlines has announced this year for Boise. Along with Reno, Alaska will begin service to Spokane in August. Alaska now offers nonstop service from Boise to Lewiston, Portland, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, San Diego, San Jose, Seattle, Spokane and Reno.
Southwest Airlines will launch a Monday-through-Friday nonstop to Sacramento on Jan. 6. Southwest has operated flights out of Boise since 1994. Besides Sacramento, it provides nonstop flights to Denver, Las Vegas, Oakland, Phoenix, Spokane and Chicago Midway.
