A school shooting took place in Santa Fe, Texas this morning with eight confirmed dead, most of those students. Santa Fe is located 30 miles southeast of Houston.

According to CBS News, a witness claims the shooting started in an art room at Santa Fe High School, with students evacuated to an auto stop nearby. Neither of these details has been confirmed by authorities as of the time of this writing.

On the Facebook page of the Santa Fe Idaho State Police, there have been confirmed injuries. The live stream on CBS news says there have been multiple fatalities with eight confirmed dead and additional injured.

There are one to two suspects who have both been taken into custody without incident.  Neither the identity of the shooters or the victims have been released. We'll keep you posted as more information becomes available.

Update 10:19 a.m. MST:  Senta Fe Police now say possible explosive devices have been found on campus and around the school. Law enforcement is in the process of rendering them safe.
