People who float the Boise River got good news today, Epley’s River Rentals will open for the season at noon, June 18th.
The decision of when to begin renting tubes and rafts is based on river flow levels, weather and debris removal by the Boise Fire Department.
All floaters should be prepared for cold swift water, that can be dangerous if people are not adequately prepared and exercising caution. County officials remind people who float the river to wear a flotation device and have other important safety items such as sunscreen and drinking water.
County officials recommend that floaters use the designated take-out location in Ann Morrison Park and not attempt to float past that point. Police remind floaters that alcohol and glass containers are prohibited on the river for safety reasons.
