ESPN Shelves Shilling Over Muslim Tweet

Find out why ESPN took Shilling off the air.   The sports giant has booted the former hall of famer off its broadcast because of an anti- Muslim tweet according to the Associated Press.  Shilling's offensive was not an original tweet but a retweet according to the article.  The tweet was removed, but not before the damage was done.

Here's the tweet: "Only 5-10% of Muslims are extremists. In 1940, only 7% of Germans were Nazis. How'd that go?"   Even though the tweet was removed, the network removed Shilling from the Little League World Series Broadcast.  He accepted the punishment and released a statement on the situation.  "Bad choices have bad consequences, and this was a bad decision in every way on my part."

ESPN hasn't commented on what's next for Shilling.
