Fire Burns 1200 Acres

The Bureau of Land Management says Celebration Park near Melba was evacuated Thursday as a precaution as a fire burned about 1,200 acres.
Investigators believe the fire was started by campers who left a campfire burning. It escaped and started grass on fire. The blaze burned east toward Swan Falls Dam.
Anyone with information about the campfire is asked to call the Boise Dispatch Center at 384-3400 and ask to speak with a fire investigator.
