Idaho Fish and Game officers in Nampa are looking into two separate reports of sturgeon being poached in the Snake River near CJ Strike Reservoir.
Fish and Game is asking the public for help to find the people responsible for the two incidents in which Fish and Game said sturgeon were “landed, loaded into vehicles and spirited away by their captors.”
Officers would like to talk with anyone who has information regarding these or other possible sturgeon poaching incidents along the Snake River. Sturgeon fishing is legal in the Snake River, but it's catch and release only. Those who do catch a sturgeon aren't legally allowed to even remove the fish from the water.

Citizen's Against Poaching is offering a reward for any information into the cases. Anyone who has information is asked to call CAP at 1-800-632-5999 and Fish and Game at 465-8465.
