ESPN reported that former Boise State star and Detroit Lions wide receiver Titus Young plead no contest to one felony count of battery with serious bodily injury.

After the first arrest in July of 2014, Young faced four misdemeanor counts of battery on school, park or hospital property, along with the felony charge. One of the misdemeanor counts was dropped. At the time of the booking, Young pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Young, who will be sentenced May 5 at 11:30 a.m. in Los Angeles County, is facing up to three years in state prison.

All the misdemeanor counts are expected to be dismissed at the time of sentencing.

The Lions selected Young in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft.
He played in 27 games for Detroit with 85 catches for 1,023 yards and 10 touchdowns.
