For those who drive and live near Interstate 84 between the Meridian Road Interchange and the Locust Grove overpass, be ready for noise and lane restrictions as crews grind concrete Wednesday and Thursday night.

The Idaho Transportation Department says the work will be done from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. to keep all lanes of the freeway open during the day. There will be lane restrictions and speed limit reductions in the eastbound lanes at night. Westbound I-84 was returned to four lanes Monday morning.

Construction on I-84 and at the Meridian Interchange is expected to be complete by Christmas. The roadwork is dependent on the weather.
