The Treasure Valley Turkey Challenge is underway at the Wal Mart on Garrity and Franklin.  It's a great way to have fun during the pre Thanksgiving festivities.  I thought of this idea during the Ice Bucket Challenge craze over the Summer.  Why not have folks in the Treasure Valley challenge one another to donate turkeys for the Boise Rescue Mission.

Our great friend, Terry from State College, PA. has challenged all the patriot groups to donate ten turkeys.  Hopefully all like minded groups will step up.  This is a great opportunity for you to give and prod others to do the same.  Most of us will have a Happy Thanksgiving surrounded by friends and family members.  For the less fortunate, we are asking you to donate.  The Boise Rescue Mission will serve over four thousand individuals on the day before Thanksgiving.  This includes a box meal that they can take home and cook for Thanksgiving.

A donated turkey doesn't cost much, but a warm meal will go along way towards helping a family get back on their feet.  I've watched the incredible magic of Thanksgiving for many years and that's one of the reasons I'm out here this week.  So stop by, and give...Remember it's always better to give a turkey, than to be a turkey!
