Idaho Board of Correction Chairman Robin Sandy announced the Department has appointed its most experienced warden to take charge of the Idaho Correctional Center once the department takes over the operations at the state's largest prison, which has been privately run since it was built. Randy Blades, currently warden at the medium-security Idaho State Correctional Institution, will take over daily operations at the 2,000 + bed facility on July 1 and he will spend the next six months helping plan the prison's transition from a privately run facility to one run by the state.
