300 firefighters are battling two fast-moving forest fires burning around 6,100 acres north of Bend. Officials say homes are being evacuated as they expect the blaze to grow.
The Saddleback area was evacuated Saturday afternoon and the Johnson Ridge subdivision was evacuated Sunday, bringing the total number of evacuations to around 250. Several roads were also closed due to the fire.
The Two Bulls Fire, grew to 6,180 acres overnight. They were still at zero percent containment Sunday morning.
Around 2,000 people were put on evacuation alert Sunday as fires burn near Bend.
