The suspect in the Table Rock Fire has plead not guilty and legal proceedings are underway, but that doesn't change the charred appearance of the iconic Boise landmark.

So how long will it take to heal the burn scar blanketing Table Rock after the first that ripped through 2,600 acres of land in late June?  According to Channel 2, it could be as long as three years.

Boise Parks and Rec presented city council a multi-year plan that would involve pinpointing the areas of Table Rock that need to be seeded and where sagebrush and bitterbrush should be planted.  That should help wildlife begin to make the burned area home again and help reduce the risk of another blaze when fire season returns.

The restoration plan will roll into action this fall and is expect to last three years.

The price tag of rehabilitation efforts? $90,000.
