Interstate 84 will be reduced from 3 lanes to two lanes in both directions at the Meridian interchange next week that will last until early November. What does this mean for your commute?The Idaho Transportation Department says drivers who use I-84 will have major delays in this new phase of construction. In face, the Treasure Valley should prepare for significant delays through November.

Once in place, lanes will be reduced on eastbound and westbound I-84 between the Eagle and Ten Mile interchanges.

Changes are necessary to give crews room for building the outside two lanes and shoulder in both directions, merging conditions will be continually adjusted at the I-84 Meridian Interchange as crews rebuild the interstate.

By late November, construction at the I-84 Meridian Interchange should be complete.
