There are lots of challenging things about military service, but one of the hardest things might be transitioning back to civilian life after it's over.  There's an Idaho group helping dozens of families make that transition as smooth as possible.

Mission43 is a partnership of the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Family Foundation and says it's designed to give "currently serving military, former military, and military spouses in Idaho the resources for a successful transition after leaving the service."  Mission43 gets its name from Idaho history, since Idaho was the 43rd state.

The group says it works to help Idaho's post-9/11 servicemen, women, and their spouses connect with the resources they need to succeed academically, in their next career, and in the community.  KTVB says the group also gives veterans a social outlet to meet with other in the same place in life, and have a little fun while they get back to business.

Mission43 has an event coming up this weekend at the new CrossFit Fireside in Meridian, and anyone can show up and be part of it.  It's the WOD for Warriors event, and it starts at 10am on Saturday, November 11th.  Veteran's Day!  So if you feel like thanking a veteran with some air squats, push-ups, and dead lifts, you can register HERE.

Civilians can get involved in Mission43 through the Connection program, which works on social events and athletic challenges.  That might be a great way to honor a service member this Veteran's Day.
