Four wildfires were reported to the BLM on Saturday. Two were reported to be caused by lightning and two were human caused. Currently, the most active fire is the Celebration Fire. It was reported at 12:45PM yesterday afternoon located 4 miles north east of Murphy. It is now estimated at 7,500 acres burning to the east and west of Con Shea Basin on the south side of the Snake River burning grass and brush. Last night, fire crews from the BLM, Murphy Reynolds Wilson Rural Fire Department and Melba Fire Department were battling to control the fire due to the hot and dry conditions, rough terrain along the canyon, and the rapidly changing winds. The fire was primarily moving to the east and shifted to the west toward Guffy Bridge. Crews were able to catch the fire before reaching any structures.
