Hotel prices. Your phone. Your eyes. Your butt. Your pet. Your concept of time.

Not even gas prices are safe from Monday's upcoming eclipse.

Over the past seven days, gas prices in Idaho have gone from $2.56 per gallon to $2.65 per gallon. That's normal for this time of year. What's not normal is the influx of people coming to The Gem State next week and how that could make prices rise even further.

Marie Dodd from AAA warns that gasoline prices increasing may not be the only problem we have to deal with:

Some of these small towns may have a record number of visitors and gas stations and consumers need to be prepared.

So, what does one do? While we can't control the price at the pump, Dodd says keeping your tank at least half full at all times and filling up before Monday will be your best bet.
