MERIDIAN - Idaho State Police continue to investigate reports of shots fired from one vehicle into another along I-84 near milepost 26 at about 9:45 Thursday morning.

A 23 year-old Ontario man called 911 and reported that he was traveling eastbound on the freeway near the Notus exit in a Nissan Altima and had made a lane change when he heard what sounded like gun fire coming from a white Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution that was traveling behind him. The man told troopers that the driver of the Mitsubishi exited I-84 at the Ten Mile Road and continued north. No one was injured and the shots fired at his car missed.

Idaho State Police say that the Mitsubishi had Canyon County license plates.
