Tuesday night will be a big night for the entire country.  The 2018 midterms have the feeling of a general election campaign.  Voters nationwide will finally know who will control the US House of Representatives and the US Senate.

Idaho will once again lead the nation with most Republicans elected to local, state, and national offices. Unlike most states, the Republican Party Primary is the general election. However, there are a few races that could be either predictable or a surprise some Gem State Voters.

The two races that most state politicos will be watching are the race for lieutenant governor and state school, superintendent. Current Republican Lieutenant Governor Brad Little is expected to cruise to an easy victory of Democrat Paulette Jordan. Expect Little's success to help Republicans down the ballot. The bigger his margin, the better for every Republican on the ballot.
