A Washington DC based group, Madison Project is holding a grand opening for their Boise field office tonight. The Idaho Statesman says their purpose is to unseat eight-term GOP Congressman Mike Simpson. The new political action committee, which endorsed Simpson's challenger Bryan Smith, will also hold training Saturday in Twin Falls and Idaho Falls for get out the vote. Ryan Davidson, a former Idaho Libertarian Party chairman and marijuana decriminalization advocate, is running the new Boise office. In 2012, Davidson helped organize an effort to overturn the result of the 2012 Idaho presidential caucus and award 32 delegates won by Mitt Romney to Ron Paul.
