Maverick Convenience Stores Buy School Property
According to the Idaho Statesman, The Boise School District's Franklin and Cole elementary school properties have been bought by Maverik Inc., the convenience store and gas station chain, for $3.8 million.
Cole Elementary School's 7.6-acre site at the corner of Cole Road and Fairview Avenue sold for $2.5 million. The 4.7-acre Franklin site, at the corner of Orchard Street and Franklin Road, sold for $1.3 million.
The city of Boise bought an additional three acres at the Franklin site in 2013, with plans to create a park.
Both school buildings have been torn down.
