MHAFB officials announce name of deceased Airman
MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho – A 366th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron officer was found dead at his residence in Mountain Home, Idaho, Wednesday.
Capt. Michael Daly, 29, is survived by his father and mother, John and Donna Daly, of Papillion, Neb., as well as his sister, Jennifer Daly.
Daly transferred to Mountain Home Air Force Base from Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico, in early March. He was assigned as Assistant Officer in Charge of the 391st Aircraft Maintenance Unit.
“The Air Force is a close-knit family, and the loss of one of our own impacts us all,” said Lt. Col. Jeremy Saunders, commander of the 366th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. “This is a tragic loss, and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and coworkers during this difficult time.”
The cause of death is under investigation.
