Miller’s Summer Mission – Day 4

  How do you benefit from giving?  Today we find out how charitable giving actually helps the giver as well as the recipient.    We were joined this morning by Russ who just joined the staff of the Boise Rescue Mission.  He described the need of local veterans who return home from deployment.  The Air Force Veteran shared his firsthand experience of looking for a job and finding a home at the Boise Rescue Mission.

  Veteran Isabel spoke about her challenges of overcoming divorce, drug addiction and other problems.  She proudly revealed that she now has a relationship with her family.  She looks forward to getting custody of her son soon.

  Don Anderson,  Boise Rescue Mission Board Member and Chief Financial Officer of Lyle Pearson, conveyed how every dollar donated 'gets a workout.'  He expressed his gratitude for the staff of the Boise Rescue Mission.

  Folks please contribute today!  We're at the Walmart on Garrity and Franklin till Saturday at 6pm.

Miller's Summer Mission will benefit the Valley Women's & Children's Shelter (Boise Rescue Mission Ministries). Some needed items are:

• sunscreen
• razors
• new underwear
• other summer essentials
• cash will be accepted on-site
