State Board Of Education Approves Amendment

The State Board of Education approved an amendment to provide additional guidelines for Senate Bill 1254, Idaho’s guns on campus legislation.
The new policy clarifies that concealed firearms are only allowed on college campuses as described in section 18-3309(2) of Idaho Code or as the school allows as part of an event or program approved by the president of the school.
Colleges across the state are updating their security plans, and presidents are expected to report the plans at the August State Board meeting in Pocatello.
