James Foley harmed no one.  His only crime was being in the wrong place at the wrong time.  He was captured while trying to upload stories about the fighting in Syria.  He was held against his will for years.  Foley was beaten and tortured for years.

However when you read those words: beaten and tortured, do we really understand the fear and pain Foley suffered?  Or the enormity of the evilness of his ISIS captors?  Until now we have not known the specific details of Foley and the other hostages ordeals.  The New York Times has pieced together what life was like for these brave journalists.  I warn you the article is alarming.  It is a must read for all of us to understand the enemy that threatens to destroy us.  Here is the link to the article.
