This Idaho Congressional Candidate Wants to Legalize Marijuana
Idaho is one of the most conservative states in the country. So why is one Idaho Candidate for the First Congressional District advocating the legalization of Marijuana? The race to find out who will succeed Congressman Raul Labrador continues to grow as more traditional and nontraditional candidates announce their run for office.
Meet Nick Henderson born in Coeur d’Alene, a combat veteran and a commercial pilot. He's also a staunch advocate for legalizing Marijuana. Henderson advocates why he wants to legalize weed in a blog post, 'My position is to legalize marijuana not just in Idaho, but Federally; I'd like to see the DEA remove it from their list of scheduled narcotics entirely and believe that it is ludicrous Marijuana is a schedule 1 narcotic next to heroin right now.'
He continues to detail his plan if elected to congress and compares the illegal pot to the prohibition era. Henderson believes that each state should determine their policy towards Marijuana.
What do you think? Should Marijuana be legal in Idaho?
