This is so cool...you have a chance to book an amazing behind the scenes tour at Zoo Boise. You can feed the penguins or Giraffes or meet a giant tortoise. There's even an exclusive paint with the penguins day you can do with your kids.

One of the many wonderful things about living in Boise is having access to places like our greenbelt, great parks, historic monuments, and our zoo. Even though it's not huge, there is no denying that Zoo Boise is a hometown gem. They have a variety of animals, offer reasonable rates, and run some fun events for the whole family throughout the year. On top of that, they are now offering special behind the scenes tours to help you get up close and personal with your favorite animals!

Currently Zoo Boise is offering these tours with 3 different animals - penguins, giraffes, and their Aldabra Tortoise, Mister Mac. Tours range from $20-25 for the first person and $10-15 for each additional participant, not including Zoo admission.

There is also an exclusive one of a kind paint with a penguin day, on January 23rd. Keep in mind there are only 6 tickets available for this exclusive event, so you might want to hurry and book it before it's gone. Tickets for this event are $150 but all proceeds benefit Zoo Boise's Educational programs

If you are looking for something fun to do with your kids this winter, make sure to book your behind the scenes tour at least a week in advance. Gift certificates for the Zoo and these tours are also available online and make great stocking stuffers!
