This week the Boise Airport and American Airlines held a ribbon cutting ceremony to welcome a new non stop connection from the City of Trees to Dallas/Fort Worth. It was a full fledged ceremony as the first passengers and plane taxied on the runway. The Boise Fire Departments Aircraft Rescue and Fire team was on hand and performed the traditional water arch as the first flight took off between both cities. The President of Boise Chamber of Commerce was front and center during the ribbon cutting ceremony. With the addition of this new city the tally of non-stop flights from our airport now tops 20 cities. Boise's Airport Director Rebbecca Hupp commented saying "With this addition, we now have nonstop service to nearly every major hub in the western and mid-western United States."

The new stop is expected to expand Boise's reach in Major Cities and will hopefully increase the economy between the two cities. The daily flight is operated by American Airlines using a 128 seat Airbus A319 aircraft. American Airlines now serves two destinations from Boise; Phoenix and Dallas. Job well done Boise! - JD
