Idaho is one of the best states for gun owners to reside in and a big part of that is due to the state's loose gun laws.

So, one would think that Idahoans would take full advantage, right?

Not so fast.

Idaho makes A LOT of money from firearms...

Regardless of what you might believe in, guns or firearms aren't going anywhere anytime soon. With paranoia lingering in the world and doomsday preppers feeling the end is near, guns will almost always be in demand.

That being said, Idaho isn't the top seller when it comes to firearm and ammo sales but the amount we do make from guns isn't anything to sneeze at.

Despite that, Idaho isn't even in the top ten... but California is. Surprisingly, Oregon also makes a little bit more than Idaho from the firearm industry.

Who makes the most money from guns?

That title belongs to the Lone Star State, Texas which boasts a staggering economic output of $5.59 billion from the gun industry according to 24/7 Wall Street. California came in second and Idaho placed fifteenth.

Still, you won't believe how much money Idaho is pulling from the gun industry.

A report from 24/7 Wall St. revealed that Idaho doesn't make as much money from guns as people think... how does it match up to surrounding states?

It's important to remember that guns should always be used responsibly and not treated as toys. They offer protection for those who need it and outside of hunting, that's pretty much all they should be used for.

If you do happen to live in one of the most dangerous neighborhoods, it might be a good idea to keep a firearm handy in the event of an emergency.
