Boise State Makes Top 25 in ‘Way Too Early’ Football Rankings
It's been a very exciting year for Boise State football--whether or not you're a fan, there is no denying the fact that it has been a very historic and fun season.
Last year, Boise State fans weren't sure what to do. They lost their head coach mid-season (which never happens in Boise), they had more losses than any team in recent history, and most had chalked the Broncos up as a 'thing of the past'.
What happened this past season, not even the most engaged critics saw coming.
The Broncos barely lost to #1 Oregon on the road and continued to win--all season long. Their running back, Ashton Jeanty became an American Sweetheart and a household name, the Heisman Trophy runner-up and Boise State ended their season in the Fiesta Bowl.
Whoa.
So despite the fact that Boise State lost in Arizona (let's be honest, you can't win them all), it was a season that fans couldn't have dreamt up better. Now, despite the excitement, it's over and we're on to 2025. What's next? A road game at Nortre Dame--the National Runner Up--is sure to be the talk of Bronco Nation.
Looking ahead, the experts are already making predictions. A fan favorite tradition is when the 'way too early' pre-season rankings are released. They're already beginning to trickle out.
Boise State, after finishing the season among the best in the nation, barely squeak in at #24 but do indeed make the cut.
As for their foe, Notre Dame? They're coming in at #9!
