We knew 2025 was going to be a rollercoaster year, but this isn't at all what we had in mind. Especially since we're barely a week into the new year and folks are already trying to completely stomp out the rights of millions.

This is absolutely real, and we're not going to make any jokes about it.

Idaho Republican legislators are asking the Supreme Court to overturn Obergefell v. Hodges, which established marriage equality back in 2015.

Why? They claim the Supreme Court "overstepped it's authority" when it forced states to recognize gay, lesbian, and same-sex marriages.

Now, before you get on the bandwagon and claim "Yeah, everybody wants it gone! Do it!" you're actually, and factually, incorrect. The majority of Americans support marriage equality. Even nearly half of all Republicans support it. So please do not read this as something the entire country is behind, because that simply isn't true.

Here's to hoping marriage equality stays the way it is, and we're free to love and marry whomever we see fit.

Let's be kind to each other in 2025.

We've been a big supporter of Boise Pride for years, and we very much encourage you to check it out this year if you've never been before.

Even if the LGBTQIA+ community isn't your "scene," this is event is so full of love, laughs, and entertainment that we can't picture what Boise would be like without it!

We're looking forward to Pride 2025, and maybe we'll even see each other there!

Happy very, very early Pride!
