Internet Reacts to Bernie Sanders’ Massive Idaho Tour Stop
For a state that is overwhelmingly Republican--political debate sure is prominent. Is this because there are more 'liberals' or 'independents' than we think there are--or is this just the nature of our nation's political climate these days?
Tough to tell.
Regardless of where you fall on the political spectrum, a visitor coming to Nampa on Monday, April 14th, is making waves and has people talking.
Bernie Sanders, an Independent senator from Vermont and former Democratic Presidential Candidate has announced he's headed westward!

Was that really so bad!?
It's easy to think that since Idaho is such a 'Red State' that people online would be telling Bernie Sanders to turn the plane around and go home. That certainly is not the case!
"I thought I walked into the wrong State--I was told that Idaho was a conservative state" said Vermont's Senator, Bernie Sanders, when he last spoke in the Treasure Valley.
The former presidential candidate visited Boise and spoke to a sold out crowd at ExtraMile Arena in 2016. At the time, Sanders was the leading Democratic candidate -- going back and forth with Hillary Clinton and scaring many Donald Trump supporters who believed Sanders' populism would have given Trump a run for his money.
While Sanders was eventually defeated, narrowly, by Hillary Clinton for the nomination on the Democratic ticket--he has remained one of the most consistent and popular voices for the working class--fighting greed and advocating for unity.
