Times are a changing here in Boise and it seems like 'the hits' just keep coming.

Sure, Boise is growing rapidly. Tons of people are moving into town, there are new places popping up regularly--but lately, it seems that we keep hearing of more and more closures.

Changes and a 'closure' of sorts is in order for one of Boise's favorite breweries.

Take a look at Sockeye Brewing and their announcement that was rolled out just this afternoon:

It's clear that Sockeye Brewing has long been a Boise favorite and despite the shift--we're glad to hear that NOTHING is happening to the beloved Fairview location!

In their announcement on Facebook, Sockeye Brewing shared:

After a lot of consideration, we’ve made the difficult decision to close the restaurant portion of the Alehouse. This wasn’t the outcome we had hoped for, and we recognize the hard work our team put into it. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who supported us along the way. That said, the Alehouse isn’t going away entirely. The space will remain open for private events, and we’re excited to focus our full energy and creativity on our flagship Fairview location.

From a dog friendly patio to their delicious food options--Sockeye will remain the local staple that it has been for year.  For this, we're relieved!
