A lot of people move to Boise and Idaho because you get to experience all four seasons here. It's sunny during the summer, the leaves change color during the fall, the flowers are all blooming during the Spring, and snow begins to fall during winter. A lot of people here also really like snow sports and we're lucky to have Bogus Basin so close to Boise. But, not everyone knows how to ski or snowboard and that shouldn't stop them from having the ultimate winter either.

So if you're not quite ready to venture out into the snow yet then the next best thing is ice skating! Whether you're in need of a date night with your partner, a girls night out, some family fun time, or even bored alone, ice skating in the winter is always the answer .

The Village at Meridian's Ice Skating Rink is officially opening for the winter season and locals are making their way to Meridian in order to enjoy the fun activity. The Village officially opened their winter skate and is ready to go for the 2025-2026 season.

This is the perfect way to celebrate winter in the holiday season without having to go all the way up to Bogus Basin. Spend some quality time with people you love, go ice skating, and then finish the night off with a warm cup of hot chocolate. It really doesn't get better than this especially for a Boise Winter.
