Livestock in Northern Idaho is being ravaged by a big grizzly bear in the area. So far the bear has killed a llama, goat and 3 sheep on 2 different attacks days apart. Idaho Fish and Game cant locate the bear long enough to trap, tag and move the animal.
Due to concern from Idaho Fish and Game after two Idaho mule deer were found dead and tested positive for Chronic Wasting Disease, Idaho Fish and Game are organizing emergency hunts. The hunted animals could not be used for eating meat until AFTER it been tested for the Chronic Wasting Disease.
Idaho Fish and Game will share the massive 72,000 square feet space with Idaho Fish and Wildlife Foundation. The new building also features meeting spaces and classrooms, and enhance entry to the MK Nature Center.
Wildlife officials are urging hunters to use caution in a couple of hunting units due to grizzly bear activity in the area, a place where grizzly bears are not usually located.
Idaho Fish and Game officials have extended the public comment period on statewide deer management plans.
The comment period has been extended to June 28.
