When the Idaho Potato Commission unveiled their six-ton potato in 2011, it wasn't supposed to last more than a year.

We live in Idaho and home to the best potatoes in the world. We have the potato bowl, the giant potato truck and our license plates proudly state 'Famous Potatoes.'

Believe it or not, a picture of a potato has sold for over 1 million dollars.  Yes, it's a true story.
