Woman Running Across I-84 Hit And Killed

A tragic accident last night on I-84 has taken the life of one woman when she, for some reason ran across the median to the right shoulder on westbound I-84 near the Locust Grove overpass.  She was hit and killed by a Kia Optima driven by a young woman who is 26-years-old.  The young woman is o.k. but will obviously go through some psychological difficulties.  Our thoughts are with her.

The accident took place just after 10 p.m. last night and the Idaho State Patrol has very little information so far.  According to KTVB, nothing has been said as to the reason this unidentified woman was running across the freeway.

No other vehicles were involved.  A full-blown investigation is currently underway.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to all involved and their families as well.  We'll keep you posted on more details as they come in.
