It's the worst feeling. You're at work in a snowstorm, wondering if you'll even be able to make it home. Consider that problem solved.

The Ada County Highway District is working on an online map that'll display what streets have been plowed and/or salted. While it won't be in real time, ACHD says the map will be updated every 12 hours, so you can check back and see if your drive is doable or not.

If you missed the story a few months ago, ACHD is also adding blue dye to their road salt, so both plows drivers and commuters can see what roads have already been treated for ice and snow.

The only catch? We don't yet know when the online tool will debut. Here's to hoping it comes out before the next snowpocalypse...
