Avalanche Alley Closed Again

A 12-mile stretch of Idaho Highway 21 known as Avalanche Alley between the Grandjean Junction and Banner Summit closed Friday as an avalanche-safety precaution. The highway will re-open when conditions improve.
The area received eight inches of snow Friday morning. This will be the second closure of Hwy 21 due to the potential for avalanches this season.
