If you've spent time in some neighbor states and cities, you've probably noticed the growing and thriving Food Truck/Cart industry.  It's growing again in the Boise area.

The concept of a standing Food Truck Market is new to the Treasure Valley, and has come to downtown Boise just in time for summer.  It happens at the corner of 6th and Jefferson streets on Saturdays, and began last weekend.  The Idaho Food Truck Coalition says the market will happen weekly, at least through the summer, and could be extended depending on the response.

This location is close the Capital City Public Market and the Boise Farmers Market, so if you are planning on being a part of one or both, lunch, dinner, or a snack at the Food Trucks would be a great addition to the day.

The Coalition plans to have a rotating group of Food Trucks.  Last week's first offering featured Mad Mac, Pepe's Sauce, Twisted Sister Coffee and Smoothies, Big Valley Ranch Food Truck, The Rusty Dog, and Cool Intentions.

The Idaho Statesman has more on this new addition to our Treasure Valley weekends.
