Additional Information

IWGKS, a non-profit organization with over 80 members in Treasure Valley, will be holding its 21st Annual Koi and Goldfish Show and Event. Large and small specimens of fish will be competing for grand champion as well as many other honors and awards. 24 display tanks will be set up to house more than 120 incredible fish that will be competing.

We have again partnered with the famous Idaho Botanical Garden (IBG) as the venue and the Bonsai Club to make this year's Show a memorable event. It will run from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Saturday, September 13th, 2014 and as always, the public is welcomed. In fact, the IBG is inviting everyone to visit the majestic Garden on the day of the event for free!

Visitors will find volumes of free information on how to get started in this great and rewarding hobby of water gardening and koi keeping. And if you already have a pond, you will surely learn something new! Many members will be on hand to answer questions. In addition, several of our local and regional commercial businesses will be exhibiting their capabilities in a mini-trade show as well as have pond items and fish for sale. Food Vendors will be set-up to provide great food and drink during the event. The Japanese group, Kawa Taiko will also be performing their unique "drumming" entertainment. The Boise Bonsai Club will be exhibiting great samples of many species of Bonsai and holding a free class for those interested.
