BLM Fire crews have been working since Saturday afternoon to get control a range fire that has burned over 7,000 acres near Celebration Park. Carrie Bilbao, spokesperson for the Bureau of Land Management says four engines were working on the fire with two more on order. There were also two bulldozers and a water tender. 70 firefighters are trying to control the blaze.
Two helicopters were called in to quell the blaze along with one hot shot crew. As of this morning crews had the east side of the blaze 90 percent contained, but there’s still not a solid estimate of when they’ll reach full containment, Bilbao said.
No structures are currently threatened by the fire.
