For those of us who don't ski, it may be a little tough to be excited about this snow storm. We may even be complaining, but we need to have perspective. The above picture is of Wood River Dam near Carey, Idaho that I took this summer. It doesn't look much like a dam does it? As I have been driving, shoveling and watching the snow fall, this is the picture I try to remember.  We need this snow storm. Idaho produces a lot of food, but we can't do it without water.

We need to get back to the dam in the picture below (Wood River Dam in 2010) and this snowstorm will help do that. So although I won't enjoy driving or shoveling the white stuff, it does help to know there is a silver (and snowy) lining!
