33-year-old Lisa Pollock of Nampa faces charges of excessive DUI and two counts of injury to a child after police say she drove drunk with her two small children in the car.
Pollock was booked into the Canyon County Jail early Sunday morning.
Nampa Police say they received several calls from concerned citizens about an intoxicated woman trying to leave the parking lot of the Walmart on 12th Avenue with her two kids in the car.
The callers said the woman was falling down inside the store and then wandered around the parking lot looking for her car.
When confronted by police, Pollock admitted to officers that she had been drinking, they said. Police say she failed all field sobriety tests and a breathalyzer test later showed she was at more than four times the legal blood-alcohol content limit.
Investigators looked at surveillance video from the business and say it showed Pollock driving into the parking lot and leaving the vehicle with her children.
Police say concerned citizens may have helped saved lives by calling police.
