Boise Police say a store employee helped officers find an armed robbery suspect Tuesday afternoon. Just after 4 p.m. dispatchers sent police to a robbery at the Famous Footwear store on North Milwaukee, near Westpark Street. A store employee told police that a woman walked into the store, showed the clerk a handgun and demanded money. She fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash. The woman was described as a light-skinned female in her 30s, with blond hair tucked into a gray beanie, wearing sunglasses, a gray coat and carrying a large pink and gray bag. After a 10 minute search, two officers spotted a woman fitting the suspect’s description in the lobby of a hotel on West Emerald, just around the corner from where the robbery occurred. The woman was taken to police headquarters for questioning.
