We've heard it too often in cases of a fatal fire. "There was no working smoke detector at the home." So how about we save some lives? The Red Cross is teaming up with firefighters to install smoke detectors in hundreds of Boise homes, and they need volunteers.

A family of five was able to escape as their two-story home went up in flames early this morning.

Stay away from this area of Meridian this morning. An active shooter and a house fire put over fifty officers and firefighters on the scene.

If you're trying to get at least one more camping trip in before the weather really gets cooler, good news! Some fire restrictions in Southwestern Idaho have been lifted.

Some wind and lightning for a few minutes this afternoon was all it took to light up both the Elmore and Owyhee Counties.

Several businesses in Idaho City were destroyed by a fire early Friday Morning.  Sunday Morning I visited the one time largest city in the Pacific Northwest.  I spoke to local business folks and here's what they said.
