The announcement that Game of Thrones bosses David Benioff and Dan Weiss would develop a new modern slavery drama went over about as well as you’d expect. Now, the two try to manage the Confederate backlash with partners Nichelle Tramble Spellman and Malcolm Spellman, adding “the concern is real.”

It’s almost impossible to watch Game of Thrones without going through a range of emotions. One minute you’re on the edge of your seat, heart rate through the roof, and the next you’re sobbing over a character’s death. The HBO series is filled with so much blood and backstabbing that it’s easy to focus on its goriest and most devastating moments. But what about the feel good ones?
