A 17-year-old boy was hit by a truck at the intersection ofUstick RoadandMilwaukee Streetyesterday morning. The teen was in the crosswalk and had the right of way when a motorist making a left turn with a flashing yellow light hit him. The truck was determined to be traveling at about 15 miles per hour when the boy was struck.

 The teen was taken to the hospital where he was treated for facial injuries. None of the injuries he sustained were life-threatening.

 The driver of the truck said he did not realize that the pedestrian had the right of way. The 49 year-old-man was cited for failure to yield on a left turn. This citation can carry a $90 fine.
