He's a prominent figure in our community and we don't know all the details behind this yet, but Boise County Commissioner, Alan Ward, has been arrested on stalking charges.

They're keeping this whole thing pretty tight-lipped. In an article on KTVB, we learn that the situation around Ward's arrest on two misdemeanors, second-degree stalking charges is being investigated by the Idaho State Police and the Idaho Attorney General's Office.

Not only is Alan Ward the Boise County Commissioner, but he also serves as the chairman of the Garden Valley School Board. He was taken into custody without incident and has since been released.

According to Idaho Code 59-901, an official can be removed from office for a felony, but with Ward's charges being misdemeanors he may be able to continue in his roles.

We'll keep you posted if more details on this story come to light.
