Want To See Who’s Cooking Meth in Idaho? This Map Will Show You…
Okay, look - there's something about being nosey that makes us feel good. The feeling of snooping and knowing something that others might not... well, it just feels good.
That type of outlook and behavior might sound bad at first, but when it comes to keeping your family safe, all bets are off.
There is a tool that will reveal what your neighbors are really up to
The drug problem America is facing is an ongoing war with no end in sight. While a lot of the focus is on fentanyl, there is still a crystal meth issue plaguing the country... and Idaho.
Just last August, authorities reported busting 25 people on drug trafficking and firearms charges. They reported that "the defendants distributed large amounts of methamphetamine and fentanyl throughout Southwestern Idaho and Eastern Oregon."
When you look at exactly what they seized, the drug problem sounds even scarier than it is. According to the Department of Justice, authorities seized "approximately 98 pounds of methamphetamine, approximately 21,000 fentanyl pills, 531 grams of fentanyl powder, 38 firearms, 3 bullet-proof vests, and $121,615 in U.S. currency."
This news came out just three months ago and there's no doubt that there is more criminal activity happening out there... and possibly even in your neighborhood.
We found a search tool that allows you to plug in an address to see if that house ever had a meth lab in it.
It's as easy as typing in an address
The map can be found at Rehabs.com and it's important you know how to use it.
For starters, if you just type in the address and press "Enter", you might not get a result. Rather, start typing in the address you want to search and then click the dropdown autofill.
As you can see, we began typing in an address and the dropdown box will appear. Once we clicked our address, we discovered that we are 3.12 miles away from the closest meth lab... UM, WHAT?
That's pretty... creepy.
Whether you want to know what's going on around you to keep your family safe... or if you just want to have some fun snooping around... you can check out this interactive map here.
