Another Arrest Confirmed from Viral Boise Area Sex Predator Stings
It has been an interesting week in the Idaho 'news cycle' and if you can believe it, it's only Tuesday.
As we shared on Monday, a group of online streamers spent the weekend in the Boise and greater Idaho area.
The group, 'Pred Poachers', creates content that is similar to that of a 'vigilante version' of the television show, To Catch a Predator.
While working in various chatrooms or on various social media platforms, the 'Pred Poachers' engage with individuals that they believe to be seeking to meet up with underage boys or girls. They then arrange for a meeting place, show up, and question the individual.
Surprise! These guys aren't the underaged little boy or little girl that the alleged suspect thinks they are.

Did you see any of this footage over the weekend?
Their videos have millions of views across their multiple social media platforms.
We reported yesterday that the Boise County Sheriff's Office DID confirm an arrest linked to the streamer's 'investigation' and evidence.
Now, we're learning something similar happed in North Idaho, technically falling into Spokane County's jurisdiction.
The following was published by North Idaho News on Facebook:
Shoshone County criminal case has been filed against Howard E. Penney, 55, of Spokane, following a Friday incident in Wallace involving the online group “Predator Poachers.” The group went live Friday claiming Penney traveled to Wallace to meet someone he believed was a 13-year-old child. The group also alleged Penney had sent graphic images before the encounter. A follow-up video appeared to show the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office taking Penney into custody. A Shoshone County booking report also listed Penney as booked on June 13, 2026.
According to court records, Penney will be facing the following charges--all are felonies:
• Children — Enticing Through the Internet, Video Image, or Other Communication Device
• Child Sexually Exploitative Material — Willfully Possess or Access by Any Means
• Child Sexual Abuse — Induce, Cause, or Permit a Minor Under 16 to Witness an Act of Sexual Conduct
Videos from the sting operations in Idaho continue to rapidly spread online.
